FAQ
Is my financial data safe?
Absolutely. Money Mood never stores your bank credentials. We use Plaid’s industry-standard encryption and bank-level security. Your data is protected end-to-end, and you control what you share.
How does Money Mood securely connect to my bank?
Money Mood connects to your bank securely through Plaid, a trusted financial technology used by millions of people and major companies like Venmo, Cash App, Robinhood, and SoFi. Plaid acts as a safe bridge between your bank and the app — meaning Money Mood never sees or stores your login information. Your data is encrypted end-to-end, and only essential details like your transactions and balances are shared, allowing the app to provide accurate insights while keeping your financial information completely private.
Do I have to connect my real bank account?
You don’t have to connect your real bank account — you can explore Money Mood using Demo Mode, which includes sample data to help you see how everything works. But the real magic happens when you do. Connecting securely through Plaid unlocks personalized insights from your actual spending and moods, giving you a deeper, more accurate Money Mood experience.
Is Money Mood free?
The beta version is completely free for early users. As we grow, we’ll offer a free plan and a premium version with deeper AI insights, visual reports, and personalized financial coaching.
